This setup replaces an USB 2.0 webcam with a high definition camcoder. The things you need:

1) HD camcorder with HDMI output *

2) HDMI cable

3) HD video capture device**

4) USB 3.0 cable

5) laptop with USB 3.0 port ***

* GoPro with HDMI output will work, but the battery life is 2 hours +/-

** I haven't tested two HD video capture devices in one laptop. If you are successful doing this, please let me know.

*** The webcams use USB 2.0 port. The webcams are USB 2.0 devices. The HD video capture device uses USB 3.0 port. If you are not using HD video capture device, you do not need USB 3.0 port / cable.
